Lantern Festival falls on Feb. 11th this year. In order to express the most sincere greetings and best wishes to every employee and their families, Group leaders on behalf of Shandong China Coal Group distributed Festival welfare- Tangyuan(mandarin,tāng yuán, a kind of sweet rice dumplings made from glutinous rice flour mixed with a small amount of water to form balls and then cooked and served in boiling water) to every employee.
Over the years, China Coal Group leadership has always attached great importance to employee welfare, every Mid-Autumn Festival, New Year, Spring Festival, Lantern Festival and other traditional festivals will be issued for the staff intimate welfare, so that we always feel the warmth and love of our Group. Knowledge: The Lantern Festival is a Chinese festival celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month in the lunisolar year in the lunar calendar marking the last day of the lunar New Year celebration. The first month of the lunisolar calendar is called the yuan month, and in olden times night was called "Xiao" in Mandarin. The fifteenth day is the first full moon of that lunisolar year. Therefore, the day is called Yuan Xiao Festival (Lantern Festival)in China. It also known as a small first month, the Lantern Festival or the Festival of Lights,  and is the first major holiday after the Spring Festival. Enjoying beautiful lanterns, solving puzzles on lanterns, and eating glutinous rice balls are several important customs of Lantern Festival!
